GUIDE / SCREENSHOTS

Clean up old
screenshots.

Receipts, directions, chats, memes and temporary codes quickly mix with real memories. Isolating them is often the easiest way to begin a camera-roll cleanup.

SHORT ANSWER

How can you quickly delete unwanted screenshots?

Open the Screenshots deck in MonTri, limit it to a year if helpful, then review each image. Swipe left to reject it or right to keep it. Nothing is deleted before final review and system confirmation.

01

Start with information that has expired

Old booking confirmations, one-time codes, products already purchased and chats with no lasting value are usually the easiest decisions. Removing these first makes the camera roll easier to navigate.

  • Receipts and confirmations past their useful period.
  • Maps, schedules and directions from old trips.
  • Memes, recipes and products already saved somewhere better.

02

What deserves a second check

A screenshot may contain proof of purchase, medical information, a ticket or a meaningful conversation. Before deletion, check that it is no longer useful or that important information has been saved in the right place.

03

Turn cleanup into light maintenance

A short monthly pass prevents another multi-year screenshot backlog. MonTri’s recap shows progress and recovered space without turning maintenance into a daily obligation.

Screenshot cleanup questions

Does MonTri identify screenshots automatically?

Yes. It gathers them in a dedicated deck so they no longer mix with personal photos.

Can I review only one year of screenshots?

Yes. Use a period filter to reduce the deck before sorting.

Are photographed documents always screenshots?

No. A camera photo and a screen capture are different media types. Always check the content before deletion.
